Written by Lucien Hopkinson

Quick answer: In the Nomni Console, click POS in the top bar, then go to Online Ordering > Configuration. Change the settings you need, such as store status, order types, prep times, delivery fees, minimum spend and order emails, then click Save.

What this is for

Online Store Configuration controls how your online ordering store behaves: whether it's open, which order types you offer, delivery fees and areas, minimum spend, emails to you and your customers, tips, terms and conditions, and tracking codes.

Before you start

  • Your login can see POS > Online Store.

  • Online ordering is set up (see Set up online ordering).

  • You're signed in to the Nomni Console at Nomni Console (app.abacus.co) with a login that can see this page. If it's missing from your menu, ask your account owner to check your role.

Change your store settings

  1. In the top bar click POS, then go to Online Ordering > Configuration.

  2. Store Status: set the Store Title, the Store Closed Message customers see when you're closed, and the Slug (the end of your store web address).

  3. Customer Communication and Merchant Communication: choose when to Send an email to the customer when an order changes, turn on Order Progress Tracking, and under Merchant Communication tick Send an email to the merchant when order is accepted if you want an email for each accepted order. Set Email Address (Sender) as the from address on customer emails (leave it blank to use the default no-reply address), and set Reporting Email, Reporting CC and Reporting BCC. CC and BCC take up to 5 addresses each, separated by commas.

  4. Order Accepting Behaviour and Prep time adjustment: set Time slot intervals for Delivery and Pickup in minutes, Maximum Orders for Delivery and Pickup per time slot, and whether to Allow cancellations up to a set number of minutes before pickup/delivery.

Under Order Accepting Behaviour, Order Preparation Time (mins) is how many minutes' notice customers must give. To use different times, tick Add preparation time for individual order types and days. A table opens with a row for each day and columns for Delivery, Pick Up and Eat In. Type the minutes in each box, or use the Quick fill (all days) row to fill a whole column. Each box takes whole minutes of 1 or more. Save the page.

What you should see: on your online store, the ASAP time and the time slots for each order type use the minutes for that day.

Under Prep time adjustment, you can add extra preparation time for bigger or smaller orders. Pick the Delivery, Pick Up or Eat In tab, then add a row with a Minimum Amount, a Maximum Amount (leave it blank for no maximum) and the Additional Time (mins) to add when the cart value is in that range.

  5. Order Types: tick Delivery, Pick Up and Eat In for each day.

  6. Delivery Fees: choose Option 1: Flat Fee, Option 2: Rate Per km or Option 3: Delivery Partner. Delivery Areas: list Post Codes or click Configure Delivery Zones.

  7. Minimum Spend: click Add range to set a Minimum Amount and Maximum Amount per order type. The minimum is checked against the cart total before Brandollars, coupons and other discounts, so a customer who has reached the minimum can still use their rewards.

  8. Your Terms and Conditions, Order Recipient, Non-Mandatory Checkbox During Checkout and Pop-up Notification: add up to 3 terms, up to 3 recipients, optional checkout checkboxes and a pop-up message.

  9. Ordering Suggestions: tick Reorder to let customers see and reorder items from their previous orders, and tick AI Recommendations to show AI-driven product recommendations to customers.

  10. Tracking: paste your Google Measurement ID, Meta Pixel ID or GTM code if you use them.
