Quick answer: Work through this checklist in order, starting with your account and users, then connecting your data from Nomni POS, then your sending setup. Each section matches a full how-to article.

Account
☐ Every person who needs access has their own user in the right group. Nobody shares a login (see Users and permissions).
☐ You can log in to your account and you've set your own password.
☐ Two-factor authentication is turned on for your login.
☐ Your account time zone is correct, so scheduled emails go out at the right local time.
☐ Your business's physical address is saved. It appears in the footer of every email.
Connect your data
☐ A test customer you created or edited in Nomni POS appeared within a few minutes (see Check that your customer sync is working).
☐ Your API URL and key are saved in Nomni POS Back Office > Nomni Marketing (Liven Engage) > Settings.
☐ You clicked Sync Contacts once after saving.
☐ Your customers appear in Contacts and in the All Contacts list.
☐ In the POS Back Office Customers list, the Nomni Marketing Last Sync column shows a date for your customers.
☐ If you sell Brandollars, you've asked us to connect your Brandollars data so balance fields fill in.
☐ If you have a Nomni venue app, you've asked us to switch on marketing consent sharing.
Check your customer sync is working
Follow these steps:
In Nomni Marketing, open Contacts.
Open the All Contacts list. The number should be close to the number of customers in Nomni POS who have a valid email. It won't match exactly, because customers without a valid email are skipped and customers sharing an email become one contact.
Open a few contacts and check they have fields such as Member Code, Reward Points and Registered On.

Sending
☐ Your sending domain shows Authenticated under Settings > Advanced > Sending Domain.
☐ Your From email uses that domain, not a Gmail, Hotmail or Outlook.com address.
☐ Your domain has exactly one DMARC record.
☐ You've sent a real email (not only a test) to a small internal list and checked it in Gmail and Outlook, on a phone and a computer.
☐ Staff and test contacts are tagged (for example
INT_Staff) so you can exclude them from campaigns.
Consent and compliance
☐ You only email or text customers who agreed to hear from you. Every customer with a valid email in Nomni POS syncs to All Contacts, so check you have permission before emailing them.
☐ Your website and app sign-up forms add people to the right list.
☐ Every email has an unsubscribe link and your address. Both are in the default footer, so don't remove them.
☐ If you'll send SMS, the people you text have given SMS consent specifically.
Go live
☐ Your first automations (welcome, birthday, win-back) are tested with a test contact, then set to Active.
☐ Your first campaign goes to your most engaged segment first.
☐ If you'll send SMS, SMS is switched on for your account.
