Quick answer: Perks in the Nomni Console have a new builder. You can start from one of 7 ready-made templates or build from scratch. The form is now split into two tabs, Information and Eligibility. It also adds new discount, usage-limit and targeting options, stamp-card perks with the Product Count rule, and a Sync to sites option for head office.
Where to find it
In the Nomni Console (the Nomni POS back office), click Loyalty Marketing in the top bar, then go to Perks > Perks List.
Click Add New Perk. Your existing perks are still in the list and open in the new form when you click edit.
What's new
Templates. Under "Start with a template or build from scratch" you can pick Birthday Reward, New Member Welcome, Win-Back (Inactive), Date Range Event, Milestone Reward, Buy X Get Y Free or Loyalty Tier Perk. Each one pre-fills the form and shows a "Review before saving" checklist. You can also pick Start from Scratch.
A clearer form. The fields are split across the Information tab (identity, validity and expiry, discount, creative) and the Eligibility tab (spend threshold, usage limits, targeting rules). New perks are set to "Active - perk is live" by default.
Discounts. Choose Fixed Amount or Percentage. Percentage perks can have an optional maximum discount cap. You can target the Entire Cart, a Product, a Category or a Product Variant, and choose a price flag of All, Lowest Price or Highest Price.
Usage limits. Set a perk to Single use only or Recurring. Weekly and Monthly resets count from the customer's last use, not from the calendar week or month. You can also set custom days between uses, a per-user expiry, a maximum number of redemptions per customer and a rolling reset interval.
Targeting rules. There are 19 rule types in 5 groups: Customer, Birthday, Membership, Order / Activity, and Location / Time. When you add more than one rule, the customer has to meet all of them.
Stamp cards. The new Product Count rule lets you run perks like "buy 5 coffees, get the next one free".
Show perks to customers who don't qualify yet. "Display perk when customer is ineligible" lets customers see a perk they can't redeem yet.
Sync to sites. Head office can copy perks that aren't tied to a site to its child sites. Perks tied to products, variants or categories aren't copied.
Do I need to do anything?
No. Your existing perks keep working. Next time you edit one, check the new Redemption platforms, Discount target and Usage limits settings are what you expect before you click Save Perk.
Step-by-step guides
Full steps for each part of the Perk Builder:
Create a perk in the Nomni Console: start from a template or from scratch: Go to Loyalty Marketing > Perks > Perks List and click Add New Perk. Pick a template or Start from Scratch. Fill in the Information tab, click Next, fill in the Eligibility tab, then click Save Perk.
Set up a perk discount: fixed or percentage, cap, target and price flag: On the perk's Information tab, go to Discount configuration. Choose Fixed Amount or Percentage and enter the value. Then pick a Discount target: Entire Cart, Product, Category or Product Variant. For product and category targets, choose a Price flag.
Perk usage limits: single use, recurring, resets and per-customer limits: On the perk's Eligibility tab, go to Usage limits. Choose Single use only for one use per customer, or Recurring for repeat use. For Recurring, pick a Reset frequency (Weekly or Monthly) or Custom days between uses, not both. Weekly and Monthly count from the customer's last use, not from the calendar.
Perk targeting rules: choose which customers can see and use a perk: On the perk's Eligibility tab, go to Targeting rules and click Add new rule. Choose a rule type, an operator and a value, then click Add. If you add more than one rule, a customer must meet all of them. With no rules, the perk applies to all customers.
Run a stamp-card perk (buy 5, get the next one free) with the Product Count rule: Create a perk with Discount type Percentage at 100, Discount target Product, and the reward product selected. Set Redemption mode to Recurring. Then add a Product Count targeting rule with the same product, operator Equals (equal to) or Greater Than or Equal (at least), and the number of purchases needed, for example 5.
Sync perks from head office to your sites: Signed in as head office, go to Loyalty Marketing > Perks > Perks List and click Sync to sites. Tick the sites, click Continue, then click Sync perks. Perks tied to products, variants or categories aren't copied.
Perks troubleshooting: perk won't save, doesn't show or won't redeem: Most perk problems come from four settings. Check the Redemption platforms, the Perk expiry date and Campaign start date, the Usage limits, and the Targeting rules. They're all in the perk under Loyalty Marketing > Perks > Perks List.
